Enaahtig Healing Lodge & Learning Centre Employment Opportunity Position: Human Resources Location: 4184 Vasey Road, Victoria Harbour, ON L0K 2A0 Term: Full Time Salary Level: $57,200 – $62,400 Closing Date: July 24th 2020 Enaahtig is a charity that provides various services to Indigenous population that support healing and overall wellness for individuals and families. Recognizes 13 statutory days. Gives 3week vacation time, that increases with longer continues employment. Provides training opportunities. Relocation costs could be negotiated. Duties/Responsibilities: The Human Resources will be responsible for: • accuracy of compensation and benefits, liaising with payroll • completeness, correctness and up to date all personnel files • compliance with current Canadian employment legislature, Human Rights Act and other relevant laws and regulations • ensuring that company policies and procedures are in compliance with existing laws and regulations and are being followed • implementing and leading recruitment process, including hiring and onboarding in conjunction with management • preparation and distribution of employment, lateral transfers, raises and other employee related correspondence • collection of approved and accurate bi-weekly time sheets • ensuring that mandatory training and certificates are up to date • grievance, conflict resolution, complaint handling • excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with ability to build trust at all levels of the organization

Qualifications:

Qualifications: • Diploma in Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting or related discipline • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in human resource or payroll, preferably in a not-for-profit sector • Strong interpersonal, administrative, organizational, analytical, time management, and records management skills • Ability and maturity to handle confidential, sensitive data, conflict resolution, unbiased arbitration • Excellent computer skills – word, excel, data base software, ability to conduct website research, on line communication, virtual meetings and current office technology • Current member of the Canadian Payroll Association, and/or Chartered Professional in Human Resources will be an asset • Clean Vulnerable Sector check, valid driver license and reliable transportation is required • Knowledge of Indigenous culture will be an asset
